Dayvilo

Business Days Calculator

Calculate the number of weekdays between two dates.

What is a business day?

A business day is a weekday: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. In Dayvilo's Business Days Calculator, these are the only days that count toward the total.

Are weekends included?

No. Saturdays and Sundays are excluded from the count. If a range covers only a weekend, such as Saturday to Sunday, the result is zero business days.

Are public holidays included?

Public holidays are not excluded. Holiday rules differ from country to country and region to region, so this calculator counts every Monday through Friday as a business day, whether or not it is a public holiday where you live.

How does the calculator count the start and end dates?

Dayvilo counts the weekdays after the start date, up to and including the end date. So Monday to Tuesday is 1 business day, and Friday to Monday is also 1 business day. Monday to the same Monday is 0 business days. If the end date is earlier than the start date, the calculator returns the same absolute number of business days between the two dates.

Difference between calendar days and business days

Calendar days count every day in the range, including weekends. Business days count only weekdays. The result shows the business-day total prominently and the calendar-day total below it, so you can compare the two at a glance.
