Dayvilo

Days Between Dates Calculator

Calculate the exact number of days between two dates.

How does the Days Between Dates Calculator work?

Dayvilo calculates the exact calendar-day difference between the start date and the end date you select. The start date defaults to your current local calendar date, based on your device's timezone, and you can change either date. Pick your two dates and select Calculate Days to see the result instantly.

Does the order of the dates matter?

No. The calculator uses the absolute difference between the two dates, so the order does not change the answer. August 1 to August 29 and August 29 to August 1 both return 28 days.

Are the start and end dates included?

Dayvilo does not use inclusive counting. It measures the number of days from one date to the other, so August 1 to August 2 is 1 day. The result accounts for leap years, month boundaries, year boundaries, and daylight-saving-time changes.

How are weeks, months, hours, and minutes calculated?

The number of days is authoritative. Weeks are derived from the total days as whole weeks plus any remaining days. Months are approximate and shown as “about X months.” Hours equal days multiplied by 24, and minutes equal days multiplied by 24 and then 60.
